Note on accuracy: this calculator assumes sharp (unfilleted) corners where the web meets the flanges. Rolled sections in our catalogue include a small root radius, which adds a little extra area and stiffness — so results here will run very slightly below the equivalent catalogued section (typically in the region of 1-2% difference). For catalogued standard sections, always use the audited values on the section's own product page.
